Understanding Roaming Charges.

Roaming, Data Usage and Capping 101

When you travel overseas, it’s good to be aware of what you’re using and what effects this can have. Roaming charges in certain countries can be expensive, if you have an upcoming trip abroad it’s worth giving us a call to check your options to prevent large fees.

Dependent on your network, there are certain bundles or packages which can assist with data usage and roaming to ensure you can keep on top of what you’re spending, just give us a call to see if you’re network applies.

Also note that data capping is no longer a service mobile network carriers provide, meaning your data will continue after you surpass your allocated monthly allowance and you won’t be notified (some network providers may notify you via text but this isn’t a guaranteed service and won’t be live).

Another way to stay on top of your data usage and roaming charges is through an application on your phone, one we would recommend is My Data Manager.

If you incur any roaming charges or additional data usage fees from going over your allowance, you will be liable to pay these in full.
